Media and Objectivity

Many citizens like tabloids but crave news that should be objective and factual. However, there are quite a few people among us who not only want to be off the beaten path, but also need to literally manipulate people.
In today\’s world, thanks not only to the Internet with its various news sites and social networks, but also to our country\’s public media, represented by Czech Television (CT) and Czech Radio (CR),partlyunder the terms democracy and liberal democracy

• Objectivity, the most important thing, seems to have been lost, especially on Czech Television and among journalists and commentators in the Czech Republic. Instead, their opinions take precedence.

  There are also those who can publicly publish things that slander someone or tell demonstrable lies about others who get in their wayfor various reasons. And it is sad that there are media outlets that can publish this.
  To be fair to everyone, there are journalists who, for example, present interesting findings in articles about science and technology with excellent analysis.
  Discussions in our country\’s public media over the past few years have always focused on the issue of the prime minister\’s “conflict of interest”. What is striking about all of this is that the same standardsare not applied to all politicians and public figuresin the Czech Republic, especially in the public media. And what is being pursued is probably a matter of opinion and political orientation. [36] [37] [38] On the other hand, there are certainly some very good journalists (news reporters), commentators, and columnists who know what it means to be [39] objective [40] and fair [42]. They know what the [43] ethical code [44] means in this regard. Especially in the field of politics. [45] [46] Regarding the current world epidemic problem, [47] [48] COVID-19 [49] [50], our CT should not scare people, but rather [51] [52] experts [53] [54] should give good recommendations on how to behave in these times. Thus, their interviews touching on this issue sometimes seem to be directed at giving specific advice or commands so that people understand that they may lose out financially.
